When
Bedford County Camp Cadet for 2024 will run from Sunday June 16 until Friday June 21th. It is a six-day, five-night, overnight program which runs from Sunday to Friday evening. Cadets are dropped off Sunday afternoon and picked up Friday evening after graduation.
Residency and Age
The program is open to kids residing or going to school in Bedford County. Eligible boys and girls must be at least 12 years old and not over 16 years old by the start of camp.
Selection
To be selected for Camp Cadet, you must meet the basic age and residency requirements.
You must complete the application and attend an interview by staff when it is scheduled, Interviews are normally done by Mid April.
The application must be received prior April 1 st..
We can accept 80 boys and girls to attend each year. We usually receive more applications than 80 each year.
Senior Cadets are a valuable part of our program. To be eligible, they must have attended camp as a cadet and not be older than 18. You can apply using the same application, just check that you are applying for senior cadet.
